Sprinkles and kisses,

I sure am!

While riding my bike for miles on end in the hot summer heat I decided to stop into a 7-11 to obtain a nice cold slurpee. As I walked into the cool AC and stepped up to the machine I had second thoughts. I looked at the list of ingredients and my rule of thumb is if I don’t know what it is (or worse if I do) I don’t put it in my body. So, now I’m left here hot, sweaty and thirsty. :-( Oh wait! I can totally make a slurpee! I hopped back onto my bike and peddled home as quickly as possible. Time for a slurpee Miss Poundcake style. :-)

One of my best Dolls is heartbroken after a devastating break-up with her Dick so I’ve decided to share with all my Dolls (especially you bella) how to make sure to keep yourself together and stay fabulous.

  • Go away! Either take a vacation or go spend a week at your parents house to escape all the drama.
  • Pamper yourself. You’d be surprised how a facial, mani & pedi can change your mood instantly.
  • Get rid of all his things preferably in the garbage but if you must drop it off than at least drop it off at one of his cute friends apartment (even though all you are doing is dropping off his things it will drive him mad to think about you and “Bobby” all alone).
  • Workout. Not only will working out totally clear your head but it will keep your body banging and we all know that the best revenge is looking good.
  • Put down the ice-cream and have a smoothie. The smoothie will cure your sweet tooth and not leave you feeling guilty.

As we all have been told in the past, only time will heal a broken heart but great friends and healthy food helps too. I love you Doll. Stay strong. Remember, there will be a new Dick in no time. ;-)

A much needed drink was in order yesterday afternoon with the scattered thunderstorms in Puerto Rico which kept me at the hotel bar. I looked at the cocktail list and ordered the “Heaven” drink. The bartender, Manuel, looked at me and smiled. He than said, “I think you’d rather sin.”

“Well, of course! I do like to live a vibrant life” I replied.

He than pointed to the menu and showed me the available “Sin” cocktail. I smiled and agreed to try it. Who would have thought sin could taste so heavenly.

Sin

Ingredients

2 ounces of Van Gogh Vodka

2 ounces of Grand Marnier

1 ounce of passion fruit

1 ounce of fresh lime juice

  5. Shake until the stainless steal shaker becomes frosty.
  6. Pour the ice and seltzer water out of the martini glass (notice that the glass is nice and frosty).
  7. Place a maraschino cherry into the martini glass.

Sprinkles and kisses,

As many of you Dolls know, cranberry cocktail is pure sugar and not good for your body but pure cranberry juice is hard to swallow. I have put together a healthy cranberry juice cocktail that goes down easy and has your body thanking you for not overloading yourself with sugar.

The Healthy Cranberry Cocktail

5 organic mint leaves

1 organic orange

3 ounces of vodka (I suggest a Michigan made vodka such as Grand Traverse Distillery)

5 ounces of organic pure cranberry juice

2 ounces of sparkling water (I suggest S. Pellegrino)

Directions

  1. Wash the mint leaves.
  2. Muddle the mint leaves. Set aside.
  3. Hand juice the orange. Set aside.
  4. Fill a stainless steal shaker with ice.
  5. Add the mint leaves, orange juice, pure cranberry juice and vodka.
  6. Place a top on the shaker.
  7. Shake until the stainless steal shaker becomes frosty.
  8. Pour into a cocktail glass.
  9. Add the sparkling water.
  10. Serve.

The Healthy Cranberry Cocktail

Sprinkles and kisses,

Today my sister and I are spending the day at the spa. The most important part of being active and healthy is drinking lots of water. Water (to some people) can get boring so I’m going to show you how to jazz it up!

5-10 organic mint leaves

1 pitcher of fresh water

  1. Wash the mint leaves, lemon & orange.

  3. Slice both the lemon and orange into circles and place into the pitcher.
  4. Add fresh water.
  5. Serve.

Fun Water
